In general, clients will pay any court costs in accordance with New Jersey state court fees or state law (or the federal equivalent), which can be found here, though they may be waived by the court if the client can show that they cannot afford the fees.
The cost of any court matter, whether an appeal, transactional work, trial work, or something else, can differ greatly. While routine cases, such as creating a will, getting an uncontested divorce, or resolving a traffic ticket, may incur a flat fee, the sliding fee scale listed below will be used for most matters. Since we offer lo bono services, any other payment plans will be agreed upon on an individual case basis.
Brief consultations (less than one hour) may be free and conducted over the phone or via virtual meeting platform.
